Nutrition Management: Treating Cardiometabolic Disease is a unique continuing education learning opportunity for physicians, nurses, dieticians and other health care professionals, focusing on clinical strategies to improve care for patients with cardiometabolic diseases.

Developed by Harvard Medical School and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, this practical, skill-based live-virtual course is designed for clinicians treating patients with cardiometabolic disease. Continuing Education Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
  • Identify the most recent general nutrition guidelines and the current status of their implementation in the US population
  • Recognize specific nutrition recommendations for the prevention and management of obesity, diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and cardiovascular/renal disease
  • Describe current controversies around commonly recommended meal plans along with their scientific support or lack thereof
  • Design practical approaches for clinical practice settings to assess patients' nutritional habits and provide meaningful interventions
